Woo hoo!! Its getting warmer and nicer which means more fishing time!! Going for a night session on Sat night and cant wait although our bivvy heater has broken so could be a very long cold night. Going to fish Ray Fosters near Hull to see if we can pull any of the big carp out. The competition is on with the other half this year for the biggest carp. I won last year with 21lb 6 so its my aim to beat him again and to beat my PB ;)

Anybody else going this weekend?

Blanked :(

Other half has a 12.4lb carp at 2.20am Sunday morning and a golden tench Sunday morning and that was that. Still very quiet on the carp front, no others caught all weekend by anyone. Had a great weekend though and was nice to get back into it.
2 weeks time is the next weekender so fingers crossed, warmer weather please ;)

Boo blanking is not good to me, although I really haven't been that much this year. I've been twice I think it's been a little to cold for me. I have bought some new thermal boots though they are pretty good and do actually keep your feet warm!!

I will hopefully be going this weekend if it doesn't freeze over again!!

:P

I have just got back from a late afternoon/evening session. No worry about bivvy heating, mobile in a few layers, chest waders, 'Klobba' pouch vest, box of lightweight lures, mini thermos, spare wires, camera, phone (for emergencies), LED light cap and unhooking gear. Got a couple of 'Jacks', lovely when there is enough light to do this.
