I don't like to go fishin' looking like 'Worzel Gummage' (am I ageing myself mentioning him?) but I manage with relativley few sets of fishin' clothes. For wandering the lake shore throwing lures, spinners or flies I wear neoprene waders, with leggings and thickish over the knee stockings, t shirt or fleece dependant upon the temp and conditions, with a really good vest which has pouch rather than 'pocket' storage. Topped with a baseball cap.

For going afloat on my boat, if it's cold leggings under ski trousers, vests t's fleece, Shakespeare quilted fishin jacket (small) and a fur 'flying hat' oh, and a life jacket a must when boating. Summer boating, shorts or cargos, neoprene boat shoes, t shirt and loose jumper for the evening chill. Wide brimmed barbour wax ladies hat.

Shore fishing (like tomorrow we are deadbaiting for Pike) Shakespear quilted waterproof suit, jacket and bib brace trousers, gore tex boots, loads of layers of tights socks vests t shirts, long jumper (the type you can wear as a dress with leggings) large shemagh scarf, thermal gloves and the fur hat.

a size 10-12 and dont feel swamped in this stuff, nor do I feel too blokey, anyway I even put my face on when going fishin, just in case I catch a whopper and have my pic in the angling press! [/color]

I find my neoprine waders useful for almost all my non boat fishing (they are essential for launching and recovering it, but not to be worn on board). They allow longer casts, in that distance can be made up. they are great for stalking with lures, they keep one dry, which saves having to carry extra clothing. the only time I may not wear them is in very cold weather, opting for gortex boots instrwsd as they are warmer.

On most of the still water fly fisheries I use wading is forbidden, and the banks are wither mancured cut grass or flattened down, so waders are not needed at all, on sumer evenings sandas shorts and a carry alll vest is good, comfortable and gives a sense of freedom.
